Our Buddy Blankets & Bears Team is participating in memory of all who have passed from drug addiction and to support those who are in recovery as well as fighting their own personal battle.
Our loving and beautiful family member, Katie, passed away from an accidental overdose of herion and fentanyl. A vibrant, compassionate spirit, Katie embodied all that every family loves... a soul that brings
joy every moment of every day.
Katie was a brilliant attorney, fighting for the rights of children and families. Drug Addiction knows no boundaries, no limits and affects people from all walks of life. Katie's story, like so many, begins with a medical condition she was doing her best to manage, Multiple Sclerosis.
Addiction comes in many forms. It infiltrates every social demographic. Please reach out with an unconditional heart, without expectations and with open arms to those who need understanding, support and guidance. Let it be known your mission is to sincerely show those battling and recovering they are never alone on their journey. Reach out your hand and walk with them on their path to healthy living. Give them the hope, the courage, the confidence to know they can do this and will have your support.
That is the best gift you can give.
Let us join hands and hearts to build an Army to fight this war together.
